Lou Reed & Metallica - The View

Love it. Metallica is great. Lou Reed is great. People are just shocked and do not know how to react to it. I have never heard of Lou before this project was announced and I was like "What will it be like?" but now since I have listened this song, I am very impressed and I am looking forward to the rest of the songs. Thanks Lou and Metallica! :)

The "True Glam Rock"

The only band — and I'm not saying it because we're here (Sweden Rock Festival) — the only band that did pull it off was Hanoi Rocks. I thought Hanoi Rocks were a good band, and they looked… Michael Monroe (Hanoi frontman) was one of the best… I would have shagged him. [Laughs] I like Michael, I think he's sexy, and I'm not gay. And I think Andy McCoy (Hanoi guitarist) does the best kind of Keith Richards... so much better than Mötley Crüe or Poison or any of those bands. They (Hanoi Rocks) were real — the rest of the guys, it was all a bit fake for me."  Joe Ellliott

Hanoi Rocks is cited as one of the most influential glam metal bands of all time in Metal: A Headbanger's Journey document movie.
American TV Channel VH1 named the top "hair bands" of all time, and Hanoi Rocks was at number 40. When Sam Yaffa was asked about it, he replied: "We were a hat band, not a hair band!".

Lana Del Rey

in my opinion, this young lady is very unique when singing, because she can sing with a different voice, that voice of the little girl and woman.

the voice difference was very obvious, when she sang a song called "Born To Die"

Nikki Says

"There's things that I see where I go, 'Rock Star energy drink? Give a fucking break,'" Sixx says. "There's no rock stars involved in this. There's a lot of shit out there where people are calling it 'rock.' I went into Barnes & Noble the other day, and there's a huge display that says 'rock & roll,' and it had a big thing of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. I went, 'What the fuck is this?' People are believing that shit that is not rock & roll, is not the rock lifestyle, is rock."

Gateway Arch

The tallest national monument in America is steel arches towering at a height of 630 feet (192 m) above the River Mississipi, St. Louis, Missouri. Its shape is very large but the design is very smooth. The arch forms the center of the Jefferson Memorial Park, which was founded in 1935 to commemorate the expansion of the American frontier to the West side in the 19th century. Although always wanted to build a monument in the Park, the project is at the stop during World War II. It was not until 1948, held a competition to design the monument with a first prize worth 50,000 dollars. Many leading architects participated in this competition, but the winner, Eero Saarinen, is an architect who is not so famous Finland, proposed a plan that he characterized as a stunning "works of all time". Curved structure is inspired by the classical tradition which is usually in the form of large monuments. However, the monument is the simple unadorned structure or detail that stands as a gateway to the huge open space on the West side.

Up and Down

Because of its curved, this monument using conventional elevators were impractical. Therefore, the transport system was specifically created to reach the observation gallery. From the basement, capsule-shaped train ride on its feet, spinning 155 degrees when walking in the tracks curved upper side of the metal to the tip of the lower part of the arch. Each train consists of eight capsules and five seats for passengers, took four hours to reach the place there is a gallery, a space to contain 150 people. To come down from the arch it takes three minutes.

Best Design

Unfortunately, Saarinen, who died in 1951 at the age of 41 years, the have never seen the projects realized. Gateway Arch construction finally began in February 1965. Although its performance is smooth, its structure has incredible power which is designed to withstand tornadoes.

Louvre

When planning the construction of the glass pyramid at the entrance of the crystalline Louvre Museum in Paris, which was first established in 1980, the plan was greeted with anger. Many people believe building a modern building in front of the historic buildings of the Louvre is a mockery. The building of the museum was built in a former ancient fortress, the development was begun in 1546 during the reign of Francois I stands as the Kingdom of the King of France until the end of the 17th century.
In 1793, the building was officially opened as a public museum. In 1980 the building has become a crowded, one side is used as the place of the Government and the front office is used as a parking lot. As part of his Grand Project, President Mitterrand asked monument to expanded.

THE GRAND PROJECT

The Louvre pyramid is known as a major project. The project was implemented during the 1980s on the advice of President Francois Mitterrand (1919 – 1996) to provide a series of monument which symbolises the modern role of France in the fields of Arts, politics, and the world economy at the end of the 20th century. The other major project is including the Grande Arche de la Defense, marble-plated glass Tower national library by Dominique Perrault, and Opera Bastille by Carlos Otts, glass Building which was inaugurated in 1989 is the recognition of the revolution occurred on the anniversary of 1789.

The Tip Of The Iceberg

With this brief idea, American architect, Ieoh Ming China-Pei, a radical plan to shift to find the cars of the Cour Napoleon at the front entrance of the museum and build a page surrounded the great wall under the ground. Now, the glass pyramid covered 70 feet (22 m), there is also a public area can be accomplished by tracing the dramatic spiral stairs. The project will also develop access to the Gallery is located on three sides of the building, and makes it easy for visitors to get around the building more easily. In addition, there is a new auditorium, Cafe and restaurant, plus supporting space techniques needed modern Gallery with an international reputation.

Choose the form of the pyramid of Pei controversy so as to correspond to the architecture of the Louvre. Another reason why he chose to use the pyramid is that structurally the pyramid is the most stable form. The pyramid was completed in 1989, and then inverted pyramid that Pei added smaller size (known as the pyramid upside down) on the front of the museum. Inverted pyramid serves as glass roofs for the visitors and a shopping area that lies underneath. Despite opposition to the plan was reaping, the Pyramid has become one of the symbols that can be identified quickly, a symbol both of course the Eiffel Tower.

My Music Taste

I feel that I have musical tastes that include to minority groups.
I love the kind of progressive rock music or classic rock music.

After searching, finally I conclude that music is related to a person's life journey. That's why someone who is exposed to a kind of music will have passion for the kind of music it is.

"... the music exists as a form of communication between people of a certain time, place, and culture ..." (Pleasants & Small)

Sound City

Sound City is a documentary film directed by Dave Grohl about the history of Los Angeles recording studio Sound City Studios.

A beautiful produced and directed movie. I believe it will go down as one of the best music documentaries ever made. Dave Grohl's passion to revive "the human element" in this age of digital music is evident throughout the movie. See it, and bring a friend, for an inside look at the musical anomaly that was Sound City, and the music business in general. Funny, touching, entertaining & educational.

David Bowie - Where Are We Now?

This is my opinion about David Bowie's song... ummm maybe it called "song review"

Simply beautiful.
Everything you would expect from one of the most influential and enduring artists of all time.

It shows an incredible level of professionalism, and love for what he does, that he could work on this for so long, and keep it under wraps.

Freddie Mercury and Jimi Hendrix

Freddie Mercury and Jimi Hendrix were the greatest entertainers of all time. The only person with remotely any talent from The Rolling Stones is Keith Ritchards, they caught on because they came out at the right time. Influential? Yes. Talented on the same caliber as Cream, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Black Sabbath, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Beatles... Not a chance, buddy.

Mystic Rhythms: The Philosophical Vision of RUSH

This book tells about the story of the author's interpretation of the lyrics of the band Rush. Admittedly Rush is one of my favorite bands. Very deep discussion, even sometimes makes me confused because it was too philosophical. But one thing is for sure, it turns a lot of people in an environment of great classic rock music (or often called art rock or progressive rock).
The songs (especially the lyrics) turned out to form the person concerned personally. I guess the same thing also applies to other types of music. After reading this book, I had the idea to make about my interpretation of writings about some of the classic rock song lyrics. My interpretation would be wrong or different with your interpretation. That one song can have a different impact on different audiences.
But ... to make a long article it turns out is not easy. Why keep desperate? I cannot resist it. I just cannot writing it! I believe that the lyrics of classic rock songs usually have a charge or a specific message. Sometimes the message is simply an expression of love, but sometimes also politically (e.g. Kansas group called song Cheyenne Anthem tells the story of the struggle of peoples native Americans on American soil, or Rush song titled Manhattan Project that tells the story of the atomic bomb), philosophy, and dissect the mystery of life.
If you think making posts about interpretations of classic rock songs is a crazy idea, but there are others people who are more crazy. There is a painter who would later make the interpretation of Genesis songs in his paintings. Wow!

This book is one example that one artist could possibly be one book. Similarly, there are people who say that one album Genesis (e.g. "the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway") can be discussed into a Master's thesis. Whew! This book  also aims to ward off the stereotype that rock music and even worshipped Satan extolling (satan or devil worshipper). Starting from the cover to the Satanist lyrics are explicit. I've found a book that discussed this more specifically.

Glasses Floor

Apply the glass on the residence can present artistic and dramatic effect. Glass was also able to reflect light so that a room appear brighter. But, is it safe to apply to residential floors?

The answer is secure-safe only. During installation, you entrust to experts who are professionals.

In addition, glass material selection should also note right. To be precise from the side glass thickness, shape, as well as the dimensions of their frames. The reasoning is whether these types of glass can withstand the load, because the installation is not done on a massive and sturdy plates.

In addition to the sturdy, glass material selection when one needs to consider the condition of the surface. Do not choose slippery glass floor with a tendency, as it will harm the owner's home. Choose a textured or anti slippery.

The application of glass floor does not cover the whole room, enough on certain parts that you want to like. For example, for space on the second floor with a view of the floor below it. Or in the stairwell with the addition of colorful lights.

Construction Techniques

Bored with the monotonous and abstract discussion?
Let me explain to you about the basic architecture...

2 Broke Girls

Max: Oh. No, hipster. No. Do not think we're on the same team. We have nothing in common. I wear knit hats when it's cold out. You wear knit hats 'cause of Coldplay. You have tattoos to piss off your dad. My dad doesn't know he's my dad. And finally, you think this is the sound that gets you service. I think this is the sound that dries up my vagina.

KISS - Beth

Beth

Beth, I hear you callin'
But I can't come home right now
Me and the boys are playin'
And we just can't find the sound

Just a few more hours
And I'll be right home to you
I think I hear them callin'
Oh, Beth what can I do
Beth what can I do

You say you feel so empty
That our house just ain't a home
And I'm always somewhere else
And you're always there alone

Just a few more hours
And I'll be right home to you
I think I hear them callin'
Oh, Beth what can I do
Beth what can I do

Beth, I know you're lonely
And I hope you'll be alright
'Cause me and the boys will be playin'
All night

This song dates back to a band called Chelsea, which future Kiss drummer Peter Criss was in with the guitarist Stan Penridge from 1970-1972. Criss and Penridge came up with a song called "Beck," which was about the wife of their guitarist Mike Brand, whose name was Becky. She was constantly interrupting their band practices asking when Mike was coming home, and the song was a joke directed at him.

In August, 2000, less than a year before Penridge died at age 50, he explained to the KissFAQ: "'Beck' was written, almost word for word, from Mike Brand's responses to his wife's constant calls that interrupted our rehearsals. It got to the point where I wrote down his remarks over a period of 3 or 4 days in what I called my 'wizard book.' It was merely a small notebook I carried to jot down silly sayings, sketch in, to save ideas. If you look at the lyrics and view them as a hen-pecked hubby's remarks to his nagging wife you'll see what I mean. Just pause after every sentence and pretend there's a bitch at the other end of the line. You'll catch it - I'm sure. Absolutely not responsible at all. Another poorman's copyright by me in '70."

Penridge and Criss recorded a demo of "Beck" but never released the song. In 1976, after Criss joined Kiss, he and Penridge revived the song and with the help of producer Bob Ezrin, they changed the title to "Beth" and made it more sentimental, changing the end of the first verse from:

"I know you love complaining, but Beck what can I do?"
to
"I think I hear them callin', Oh, Beth what can I do?"

Second Chance

do you believe about "second chance"?
do you believe about "true love"?
do you belive about "miracle"?

Seventeen-year-old Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller's life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Tybee Island, Georgia. Three years later, she remains angry and alienated from her parents, especially her father ...until her mother decides it would be in everyone's best interest if she spent the summer on Tybee Island with him. Ronnie's father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story about love in its myriad forms - first love, the love between parents and children - that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that deeply felt relationships can break our hearts ...and heal them.

This is my favourite Nicholas Sparks's story. I've watched it so many times. More than 100 times. Amazing.
I love Miley Cyrus's fashion style in this movie. So cool and awesome.
This is my favourite The Last Song movie scene.
